Ground beef sold at Walmart recalled as a consequence of E. coli

  • 2.25 pound plastic-wrapped trays of “80% lean, 20% fat, all-natural ground beef” with lot code 118 and establishment number “EST. 86P” on the back of the label.
  • 1.33 pound plastic-wrapped trays containing 4 “80% MEAN 20% FAT ALL NATURAL GROUND BEEF CHUCK PATTIES” with batch code 118 and establishment number “EST. 86P” printed on the back of the label
  • 1.33 pound plastic-wrapped trays containing 4 “90% LEAN, 10% FAT, NATURAL GROUND BEEF PATTIES” with lot code 118 and establishment number “EST. 86P” printed on the back of the label.

Walmart released a List of shops where the meat was sold, and the recall notice said the products were shipped to stores across the country.

The recall was issued by Cargill Meat Solutions, in keeping with a observe on the USDA website after discovering that “previously segregated products were inadvertently used in the manufacture of ground beef.” The statement said there have been “no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.”
